Business Submissions Needed for New Awareness Campaign

COB Submissions

James City County Economic Development is pleased to invite County-based businesses to be featured in an awareness campaign celebrating County businesses and resiliency. The Office of Economic Development knows that 2020 has been difficult and the County wants to support you. Throughout the end of the year, James City County will highlight local businesses that have submitted their information.

Businesses are invited to submit their information including a picture through an online form. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Oct. 30.

“The perseverance of businesses in James City County throughout 2020 has been remarkable,” said Christopher Johnson, Director of Economic Development. “In conjunction with our Economic Development Authority, we are pleased to celebrate business resiliency in our community.”

For the last 27 years, James City County has celebrated business in the month of November. Many local businesses have been awarded the Captain John Smith Award previously, but in 2020, the County wants to celebrate every business located in the County.
